Joe Negron wins State Senate Seat.

Treasure Coast – With all precincts reporting, former State Representative Joe Negron, a Republican from Stuart, will the new State Senator to represent much of the Treasure Coast and parts of Palm Beach County. Negron took an early and commanding leader over Democratic Challenger Bill Ramos. Voter turnout was low. Senator Pruitt, former President of the Senate, resigned his seat more than a year early citing financial considerations and a desire to spend more time with his family.

HIDDEN HISTORY: WWII Artifacts on Display in Beachside Locations

Fort Pierce, FL – Some actual chunks of history -- large concrete obstacles that were buried on local beaches to aid in D-Day invasion training, can be seen at Round Island Beach Park in Indian River County and the National Navy/UDT SEAL Museum on North Hutchinson Island in Fort Pierce.
