Citrus greening poses a serious threat to area growers, but they're fighing back with research.

Vero Beach – A state agriculture official just told legislators that it's possible a bacterial tree disease known as Citrus Greening could decimate crops in the coming decade. But Doug Bournique of the Indian River Citrus League says research in controlling the disease is promising.
