Prevailing winds from the west, reaching our stretch of Florida after passing over the state’s hot interior. The ocean breeze from the east was light or nonexistent. Healthcare professionals advise us to drink plenty of non-alcoholic fluids. Apply sunscreen and wear a hat with a wide brim. Take it easy outdoors during the hottest part of the day.
