Zany the Zonkey

This is Paul Janensch with a Treasure Coast Essay about Zany the Zonkey -- a new resident of Coast Stable, a 15-acre ranch in Palm City.  She is the hybrid offspring of a male miniature donkey and a female zebra named Zola.  Zany was born May 31st, and Zola seems happy nursing her.  Zany certainly looks like a cross between a donkey and a zebra.  She has the head, neck and body of a donkey and the striped legs of a zebra.  Donkeys and zebras both belong to the equine, or horse, family.  Wild zonkeys are very rare.  Most zonkeys are in a zoo or a place like Coast Stable.  Like many other an
