Bak, not Bark

This is Paul Janensch with a Treasure Coast Essay about the newest K-9 member of the Stuart Police Department.  He’s a 14-month-old German shepherd, born in Germany and named Bak – spelled B-A-K.  He began training last month at the International K-9 College in Palm Beach Gardens.  He joins Bady, a Malinois, who has been with the department since 2015.  Bak’s human partner is Corporal Nick Briglia, who told TCPalm.com that both of them have laid-back personalities – most of the time.  Bak lives with Briglia, his wife and their 6-year-old daughter.  The purchase of Bak was made possible by a donation from Lisa Crovato of Port St. Lucie, whose sister Nikki Crovato is a dispatcher with the Stuart Police Department.  Down, Bak.  Good dog.  I’m Paul Janensch.
