Good-bye

This is Paul Janensch with my last Treasure Coast Essay for WQCS.  Because I am getting up in years, I decided it’s time for me to leave the microphone.  In 2010, when I was a volunteer with the WQCS Radio Reading Service for the visually impaired, I was invited to do a weekly local feature for 88.9 FM.  So I have done short pieces about interesting people, places and events on our special stretch of Florida’s Atlantic Coast.  Most of my topics were upbeat, but some were about invasive plants and animals, pollution of the Indian River Lagoon and, of course, hurricanes.  I enjoyed writing and recording them.  I hope you enjoyed hearing them.  My thanks to WQCS, especially news director Jill Roberts and my engineer Joe Lenartiene, and to you, the listeners.  I’m Paul Janensch.
