Our own Super Bowl stalwart

This is Paul Janensch with a Treasure Coast Essay about our own Super Bowl stalwart.  And that was Bryan Stork, a graduate of Vero Beach High School.  He played center for the New England Patriots in their exciting 28 to 24 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.  Play after play, it was Stork who snapped the ball to quarterback Tom Brady.  A photo distributed around the world shows the bushy-bearded rookie shouting for joy after the game.  Stork, 24, is big – 6-4 and 310 pounds.  He weighed 70 pounds less when he played tight end for Vero Beach High School.  At Florida State, he played center when the Seminoles beat Auburn 34-31 last year in the last BCS national championship game.  Weeks ago, Stork suffered a knee injury in the divisional game and missed the AFC championship game.  But he was able to play in the Super Bowl.  Great game, Bryan!  I’m Paul Janensch.
