She’s not Frankie

This is Paul Janensch with a Treasure Coast Essay about an Indian River County teenager’s national television debut.  She is Kristi Beckett, 16, a student at St. Edward’s School, who has an important role in Nickelodeon’s upcoming show, “I Am Frankie.”  Kristi is not Frankie, an android who must hide her true identity.  But Kristi appears in all 20 episodes of the futuristic series.  For three months, she was in Miami recording the show while taking classes on line.  Her Mom, Kim Beckett, was not allowed on the set.   So she watched on a monitor.  The blonde, blue-eyed young actress is excited about her television role.  But Kristi’s first-love is the stage.  She has been in more than 30 productions at the Riverside Theater in Vero Beach.  “I Am Frankie” will be on Nickelodeon in the fall.  Don’t miss it.  I’m Paul Janensch.
