Day of Caring

Drew Mello talks with Crystal Stiles and Wendy Berardi with United Way of Martin County. Their Day of Caring will take on Saturday, September 6th.

This community-wide event will bring people together for a half day of volunteerism at 21 different service projects and will kick off United Way’s annual campaign.

No warrior left behind

Drew Mello talks with Ed Latalladi with the Wounded Warriors of South Florida, an all-volunteer organization that assists disabled veterans and their families.

The Treasure Coast Bonito Blast fishing tournament will take place on Saturday, August 23rd in the Manatee Pocket in Port Salerno with the proceeds going to the Wounded Warriors of South Florida.

A voice for a child

Drew Mello talks with Gail Griffith, volunteer recruiter for the 19th Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program and Scotty Kay a Guardian ad Litem volunteer.

There are currently 400 children waiting for a GAL volunteer to be their voice and to make sure they are not overlooked by the child welfare system.

The Guardian ad Litem program will hold several Open Houses in August and September for those who might be interested in becoming a volunteer.
