The Frances Langford Center for Children at New Horizons

Fort Pierce, FL – This week on Treasure Coast Happenings, Drew Mello talks with Denise Parton and John Romano with New Horizons of the Treasure Coast.

New Horizons is the primary provider of behavioral health services for adults and children on the Treasure Coast.

Their Frances Langford Center for Children, a crisis stabilization unit for kids and adolescents, opened in September of last year.

Hibiscus Children's Center has programs to help victims of child abuse

Treasure Coast – There have been a string of child abuse cases in our area. A Lakewood Park girl was forced to live in her back yard. A three year old Ft. Pierce girl watched her father kill her mother and grandmother. We talk with Lois Lazarus about what Hibiscus Children's Center offers abused children. Lazarus herself lived in an orphanage from the time she was eight till she was 18.
