Hibiscus Children's Center has programs to help victims of child abuse

Treasure Coast – There have been a string of child abuse cases in our area. A Lakewood Park girl was forced to live in her back yard. A three year old Ft. Pierce girl watched her father kill her mother and grandmother. We talk with Lois Lazarus about what Hibiscus Children's Center offers abused children. Lazarus herself lived in an orphanage from the time she was eight till she was 18.

"Dodge for the Cure."

Fort Pierce, FL – This week on Treasure Coast Happenings, Drew Mello talks with Carrie Oscarson, the chairperson of "Dodge for the Cure."

Now in its 4th year, the Tom Vadas Memorial "Dodge for the Cure" dodgeball tournament continues to raise money for Martin Memorial inpatient oncology unit.

This year's tournament will take place on Saturday, May 14 in the Jensen Beach High School gymnasium.
