The LifeSavers are local philanthropists who raise funds for infant, pediatric and family programs at the hospital through their annual Goombay Bash.

This year's bash will take place on Saturday, July 16 at Fair Wind Air Charter at Witham Field in Stuart.

The center's Summer Read and Feed Program is underway. It offers a holistic approach to battling summer food insecurity in households with school aged children.

Fort Myers, FL – The impact of this year's budget cutting is still being absorbed. Layoffs of veteran staffers in various state agencies have been announced.
