Ft. Myers – When it comes to treating terminal illness, palliative care is often seen as the end of the fight. It focuses on quality of life rather than cure and is usually integrated in a patient's final days or weeks in the form of hospice. A recent study shows that palliative care can not only help people live better, but also longer. As Farah Dosani reports, those in the field call for changing the way we view and use this so-called "end-of-life" care.

Treasure Coast – We run down the signs and symptoms of a stroke and what can cause a person to have a stroke. Sebastian, FL – Muriel Johnston, who recently returned home to Sebastian after serving two years in Morocco, is 86. Adventure is nothing new for her. When she retired two decades ago, and took a month-long horseback riding trip through China.

New Horizons is the primary provider of behavioral health services for adults and children on the Treasure Coast.
