Clip clop in downtown Stuart

This is Paul Janensch with a Treasure Coast Essay about carriage rides in downtown Stuart.  Clip clop, clip clop.  Just like Manhattan or St. Augustine.  The city granted a license to Wind Chase Farms in Palm City to conduct the rides.  Black and white Clydesdales pull carriages from just east of Haney Circle, along Ocean Boulevard, past Memorial Park, down Flagler Avenue and back.  Weather permitting, rides start at 5 Wednesdays through Sundays.  Takes about half an hour.  A carriage seats two to 10 people.  Cost is $50 for the first two passengers and up to $10 for each additional person.  Owners David and Heather Schneider have a 40 years between them driving carriages.  They compete in carriage driving.  But they don’t compete on these rides.  Just take it easy.  Clip clop, clip clop.  I’m Paul Janensch.
